The NCAA has approved:

• Following initial 5 minute 5-on-5 OT, conferences can choose to use 5 minute 3-on-3 OT and shootout or choose just a shootout or choose nothing.
• Video review allowed on player ejections
• Stick Slashing penalty redefinition
• Changing on the fly: player coming off must be within 5 ft of bench before new player enters
• Additional TO during OT
• 19 skaters can dress for games
• Video review allowed of high stick goals or goals after puck goes off out-of-play netting

All changes for the better IMO.

It's not like any of these video review rules will have any effect on D3 hockey (except for the championship weekend)...

The only way this can be enforced accurately is to have [yet another] rectangle painted on the ice 5 feet from the benches.

Actually it would need to be a rectangle with rounded ends starting with a quarter circle of radius 5 turning into a straight line at the end of the bench to the other end of the bench that is 5 feet from the boards and ending with another quarter circle of radius 5 from there. It would be cooler than an a rectangle :)

Who the heck invited the (former) math professor to this discussion... :p

I'm over a month late to this conversation, but that's why I was a history major.
