New Hampshire vs UMass-Lowell Friday 11/30 and Saturday 12/01

Squeezing all three games of his series in about a 16 day span seems weird, but this is it for the regular season. Friday in Durham at 730 (live on WBIN and Fox College Sports-Central), and the finale Saturday at Tsongas at 7. Has Lowell turned the corner after the 3-0 game a couple of weeks ago? UNH grabbed 3/4 points in Colorado after an exciting comeback at #2 DU, though they left a point on the table blowing a 4-0 lead at CC the night before. Looking forward to this weekend...

Ooh, thanks for letting me know about Fox Sports. Won't get it in HD, but better than nothing

Don't be petrified. You'll undoubtedly kick UHN's sorry butt.

Ah, fatalism... That'll get us nowhere.

I've noticed a certain loudmouth from your side has been interestingly silent so far this year..

It isn't us that makes the difference. It is the guys on the ice. I don't think aanyone is going to kick but on either side. Hoping we see a good, clean, intense, close game. Those are the most fun to watch.

I'd be a sad grumpy old man if I had that piece of dung program to get me through the unBEARably cold winters up in that hell hole too.

Bitter much?

Go 2nd-ranked Wildcats!
Nice to see, but really doesn't matter. At this point, only the points in the league matter (though it'd be nice if SCSU, Denver and CC win a lot of games the rest of the way ;) )

Re: New Hampshire vs UMass-Lowell Friday 11/30 and Saturday 12/01

I'm a bit apprehensive of this weekend's series. UNH dominated the last game and they look like the real deal. It didn't help that Lowell could barely get out of their own way. Points would be nice this weekend for Lowell, but I'm not optimistic. Last year I would have said 3/4 is attainable, this year I'm hoping for a split or 1 point from a tie.

Keys to the game for Lowell:
1. Sustained pressure from Lowell, something that has been largely missing all season.
2. Score first. Preferably in the first period.
3. Special teams - PK has been bad. Carr has been left out to dry too many times.

Here's hoping for a close and entertaining pair of games.

The River Hawks recently crushed UMass Amherst 8-2 - the only team to have beaten UNH so far this season. Expect a better effort from UML than the 3-0 loss to UNH.

Apparently there was a players only meeting that took place after that UNH game, which at least results wise has helped the last 2 games.

And as much as I'd like to point to that 8-2 win for Lowell, it wasn't against their best goalie, as Micheletto started their third stringer.

For all the talk about how bad the PK has been for Lowell, it's really just been 2 games (At Denver, at BC) that skew the stats. Those two teams went a combined 5-for-8 on the PP against Lowell. If you remove those two games, the PK has killed off 26 of 30 opportunities (86.7%), and has killed off 16 out of 18 at home (88.9%).

You tell him especially about the fantastic program you root for and all those titles......oh wait......nevermind.
Lake Superior and Michigan Tech called, they want their history back.
Your name is appropriate rooting for that sinking ship. Don't stop believin'! With some hard work, you can still be the first team in the conference to get to double digit losses...
