New Hampshire vs. Merrimack Home and....Home? Fri/Sat Jan 25/26

UNH travels to Lawler tomorrow and 'hosts' Merrimack on Saturday at the Verizon Wireless Arena (plenty of good, overpriced, tickets available). Any idea why Friday night is at 7:30? And for that matter, why is Saturday's at 5?

The 'Cats are coming off of a poorly played home loss against Providence and the Warriors kept Maine from winning their first game at home (though they DO have 13 goals in 11 games at the once tough to play in Alfond) with a win and a tie in Orono.

I haven't seen Merrimack and don't much about them this year, so what can we look for? Can UNH get back on a more consistent winning track? I smell split with UNH winning Friday and losing at 'home' Saturday, but wouldn't be shocked by any result (November UNH would sweep this series :p )

If UNH plays "defense" first they win both games. If Merrimack plays "defense" first they win both games. If they both play "defense" first we will probably have two 0-0 or two 1-0 games ........

Many Hockey East teams have move Friday games to 7:30 (including UNH) to give fans more time to get out of work and get to the game. Word is the Saturday game is at 5 so fans grab some dinner / drinks after the game and give a boost to local Manchester business owners.
