Honest question: how close are you going to get to filling a 7,500 seat arena, basketball, hockey, or otherwise?

I think they're looking at the possibility to attract or at least have the opportunity to attract larger events (concerts, etc.) on top of it. Or maybe they're hearing the field of dreams voice :-)?. No idea for sure, just learning about this like everyone else, but there has been talk about something like this for this area for a while (surrounding Chippewa Valley community is roughly 125,000 people). My early guess is that it will be an event center that can seat up to the 7,500 # they're talking about, but they can also set it up for dramatically less. Think of the old Metrodome and how they set it up for a Twins game vs a Vikings game (something along those lines?).

I think there has been interest in the past (hosting), but there has never been an appropriate venue. I believe the new venue would certainly meet the requirements. Still have heard no talks about this being something for the hockey teams to use for their games, but there is still a lot of time for this to all come together based on the time frame given.
