The B16 got screwed. The conference only got two teams in the tournament and the NCAA schedules them to play in the opening round? Total screw job.

Hockey East got screwed. They had six teams in but the NCAA selection committee didn't put 3 in the East and 3 in the northeast so they could be spoonfed two Frozen Four teams and one in th championship, they actually have to play other conferences!

That must be an entirely different situation from the screwing the old WCHA received by always having their teams in the same regionals so there could never be an all-WCHA Frozen Four again.

Had to chuckle at this, especially since I was at a viewing party yesterday, and this comment was made by a friend (about the MI/ND game):

"I'm all about the Big Ten now! So, GO [Golden] DOMERS!" :D

There were a lot of gopher fans claiming that the rivalry between UND and minny was over. The bigger and better rivalry is mich vs minny... Surprising how many of those fans are cheering for the ugly helmets today.
