MSU-M @ UW Friday 2/12

Re: MSU-M @ UW Friday 2/12

This game has a last year's Nothern Michigan game feel to it. Seems like the Badgers stopped playing after it got to 4-1.

you nailed it.

seriously, it's moments like this where ya kind of wonder if the team has what it takes to win the NCAA's. They need to go until the final whistle. No let up at all. Even if they're up 10-0

Agreed, I think some of it has to do with the leadership on this team.

totally agree. on ice leadership is just as vital as the coaches (IMO). When I've casually mentioned that on the UW thread there's been some interesting responses.

...it's just that the 06 team and the 90 team had guys that were not only talented, but some vocal leaders, and guys that would just plain kick their teammates *** if they weren't pulling their weight...

guys like Burish and Steve Rohlick (sp?)...those types of leaders/players are essential to winning it all IMO.

Let's just see how the rest of this season plays out. At least this year our team seems to at least manage to win or tie some of the tough games. where we were behind by 1 or 2 in the 3rd and tied or won and games where we actually managed to hang on and win despite playing poorly (say tonight). Last year we just lost those games.
