MS Project Question

Lucia Apologist
Ok, I need help with MS Project. I have a rather large Gantt chart and I want to know if there's a way to make a task that is on the non-critical path as the project constraint. There are tasks that come after this but they aren't important and aren't required for the project to be considered complete to the customer.

A simplified view:
A---------->B---->C--->D
|
V
E-->F------>G

G is the start-up date and is what everyone but me would consider the project completion date. However, C & D are considered the critical path since they occur after G.

Any ideas?
