Let's Go 'Tute!
On the bottom of the front page of the USCHO.com Fan Forum, there is a line reading "Most users ever online was 1,312, 03-10-2007 at 09:32 PM." Will we break the record this year, and if so by how much? Feel free to enter your exact guess and the date and time when the maximum will be reached this season.

I have been starting this thread for eight years now.

Here are the past highs since I started paying attention:
Code:
Most users ever online was 1,312, 03-10-2007 at 09:32 PM.
Most users ever online was 1,078, 03-04-2007 at 09:22 PM.
Most users ever online was 1,057, 02-24-2007 at 09:54 PM.
Most users ever online was 1,020, 05-04-2006 at 02:44 PM.
Most users ever online was 991, 03-11-2006 at 10:38 PM.
Most users ever online was 923, 02-25-2006 at 09:48 PM.
Most users ever online was 852, 02-24-2006 at 09:41 PM.
Most users ever online was 814, 03-14-2004 at 09:30 PM.
Most users ever online was 772, 03-13-2004 at 09:44 PM.
Most users ever online was 637, 03-12-2004 at 09:36 PM.
Most users ever online was 573, 03-06-2004 at 09:50 PM.
Most users ever online was 568, 03-07-2003 at 09:27 PM.
Most users ever online was 478, 03-08-2002 at 09:29 PM.
The times above are all Eastern, either EST or EDT.

The record set on 5/4/06 was when USCHO was trying to see how an upgrade worked under a lot of volume. It is very unlikely that a real record will be set during May. None of the records have been set after the league tourneys, probably because a lot of posters stop paying attention when their teams are eliminated. Most records have been set in the evening, soon after the eastern time zone games were over.

We did not set a new record last season. As has been pointed out, the 2002 record of 478 now gets broken very often on normal days during the season.

Note that the poll is public and also will close soon after the NCAA tourney. Thanks to dropthatpuck and Brenthoven for the suggestions.

Here are the earlier threads which are still around.
2009 thread. 2008 thread. 2007 thread. 2006 thread. 2005 thread.

Re: Most users on line at a time, 2010 Edition

I wouldn't be surprised if that most users record was during that Minnesota-Mankato multi-game uber-multi-overtime series. I was glued to the scores thread for those games. I remember looking down at one point to the "Current Users Active in This Thread" section and seeing line after line after line of names. Ah, good times.

The current record was set a year earlier.

Some of the leagues start their playoffs in a couple of days. Let's give this thread a kick. :)

Re: Most users on line at a time, 2010 Edition

Did anyone notice if we got close to the record on Friday? I forgot to check.
