Makes me mad that this series is going away with the BTHC. I always vowed to make it to Alaska someday. Now it won't happen or maybe it just will have to be without it being a Gopher contest.

Some of my favorite posters are UAA fans, so I look forward to a good week of banter. This is Scooby's VENGEANCE :mad::mad::mad: weekend due to what UAA did to my Gophers last year in the playoffs with their NCAA playoff hopes alive. Here hopes the Gophers from the first 5 games shows up in lieu of Sunday's variety.

Bring on the week.

Ignore that last statement guess the hs season ended this weekend so you should be good

What's all the excitement about? It's not like the Seawolves are playing some NCHC team.

I'm just kinda sad we don't get to yell "And John Hill still sucks" when your Gophers are back to "full strength". ;)

UAA should be up for this series, I think the games will be exciting and entertaining.

I think they will be great games too. I heard you guys have a very strong team this year, and we're pretty young. I'm hoping for a sweep, but predicting a split.

Im sad to see this series go away also . The Big10 network did what no one else every could it destroyed the premier hockey conference the WCHA . Oh well I think this will be a hotly contested series with the Sea Wolves and Gophers splitting

I could easily see a split, but we haven't seen a tie yet. I say 2-2 tie Friday and a 5-2 Gopher rout on Saturday for a 3pt weekend and some momentum heading into sue weekend.:D

You would HOPE that the loss on Sunday will erase any thoughts about being overconfident heading into the UAA series. If not then the team is not as good as we Gopher fans think they should be. If they can come away with 3 points on the (long) road they'll probably be OK with that, but even winning one of two won't be easy. Both teams look to be improved over last year; it's a question of which one is more improved - and hungrier.
