I wouldn't call his post "digging up decades old issues to discredit others". First of all, the 2004 banner misspelling isn't "decades old". Second, the ticket in the picture (which is the point of his post) is for a tournament in which the team he supports is participating in this year. So he's certainly not going out of his way to "[dig] up decades old issues to discredit others".

In case you don't get the point of this post: Plassburgh should be Plattsburgh. Considering they play this team at leat twice EVERY year, this misspelling is truly an embarrassment, and certainly can't be written off as any kind of "intentional misspelling as a joke" (which is still something that was never confirmed in the 2004 incident, by the way).

And correcting his spelling... really? Look, Remy posts here all the time, and the truth is that spelling isn't his strong point - he knows that. But there's a HUGE difference between a hockey fan committing spelling errors while posting on a hockey discussion forum and a college that loves to hype itself with its extremely high academic standards for both students and faculty publishing something (even as simple as a ticket to a hockey game) with a misspelling. If you can't see that difference, I feel very sorry for you.

An embarrassment for the college, and an insult to Plattsburgh.
