Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Already one lineup change for MTU.

Evan Witt is out due to illness, Bryce Reddick will take his spot. As previously mentioned, Russell was not happy with Seth Soley's play last night, so Ryan Bunger is expected to play instead.

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Deron Cousens giving the player interview...

-Stay out of the box
-Use the big ice to open up for passes
-Need to get better shots on net
-Stick with the system and don't play into CC's transition game

-Sees a lot of his defensive partner, Steven Seigo, in himself
-Thinks Seigo is adapting well to the WCHA for a freshman

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Also talking with freshman forward Aaron Pietila

-Trying to adapt to the speed of the WCHA vs. the NAHL
-Finally starting to feel comfortable
-At the college level, understands he is more of a role player than a scorer

-Gelling well with Witt and Gordic early on

-Definitely felt the thin air factor during the Thursday skate, but not as bad during Friday's game

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Russell mostly reiterating his interview from last night:

-Can't take dumb penalties
-Felt we should have had closer to 40-45 shots on goal based on time of possession and looks at the net

-Bunger and Reddick = fresh legs and a little extra jump on the bottom two lines

-Cannot lose faceoffs outright - cost us on the PK last night

-Robinson will start in net again, happy with his performance last night

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Bunger with a bad giveaway in his own end, but Robo makes the save on Winkler.

Lowery going for interference.

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Tech with a couple chances, but nothing. At least they are getting shots.

56 seconds on the PP.

Re: Michigan Tech @ Colorado College, Saturday Oct. 24th

Good puck movement on the PP for Tech but no serious chances.

CC will go on the PP after 6 seconds of 4x4
