Message sorting options for forums?

Hi Folks - Just getting back into it here and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to sort messages according to threads? I seems to be linear only and between that and annoying advertisements, it's hard to track what is being said on a thread to a message that I replied to. (Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't see anywhere on the site or my preferences how this can be done) TiA

This sounds to me like you are always coming into the forums using the "new posts" option. This shows only the new posts in order of their posting.

The alternative is to go through the categories > forum > threads listing :

https://fanforum.uscho.com/forums/mens-division-ii-and-iii.16/ -> This is the forum where this this thread is posted.

At the top and bottom of the page, in the red bars is a breadcrumb menu of "college hockey" > "Men's Division II and III" and by clicking on those you can see the different groups. The threads with new posts are in bold, the threads you have read everything is in normal font.

Third alternative is to set a watch on the threads you are interested in. It's automatically set on threads you have posted in, and you can add others as wanted. When new posts are in your watched threads, look to the very top of the page there is bell icon which will have a count, click on that an it will show you the updated threads you are watching.
