I have no clue what Mercyhurst brings to the table, but they will face a fast talented team in RPI.
We will have a good defense and goaltending, but I still need to see someone who will lead our offense.
Lets go RED!!!!!!!!!!!

When did they tie?

EHF: I think I can switch the names of the schools and your post would still probably make sense to me. Having followed our boys for 59 years, i think this might be one of the few times that i have no idea what to expect. Lots of new face, lots of faces gone from the roster, big changes in most line ups in Division I hockey. I think we may just have to wait and see. I give very little credence to what we saw in exhibitions and always have felt that way. Wat back as far as the 1960's we would schedule some unknown quantity to play for practice (usually some Canadian school) and run up the score. It bore little or no resemblance to how we performed for the season. i think we are all excited and hopeful to get this season going. This weekend with 2 games that count (even though none league games) we will see a bit of what we have to look forward to.

You are correct in your assessment of last weeks games. There was virtually no forechecking, so both teams were easily able to move the puck around the ice.
What I did see, was a fast pace and very good puck handling. The team defense was very good. The players stayed in their lanes and disrupted most of the offense in their direction.
I am anxious to see what they do against a team that puts some pressure on them. It is going to be very interesting.

I would like to see if we can add a few more posters on this thread. Unfortunately we have lost some regulars who added considerably.
