It's good that tech got a good coach but its still going to be hard to convince high profile players to come there considering houghton is a smallish town and the recent hockey history plus i think the male to female ratio is something like 3-1.

Seriously though, it's understood that Pearson flew up for an interview earlier this week. If a decision truly was made this quickly, it would seem he's probably our man, though it's all still a rumor at this point.

Use Clarkson's strategy (their ratio is even worse): Recruit Canadian players and tell them you're close to home.

Probably. BSU could be there too.

I think MTU will be much better just by the coaching change. WMU showed us how much that can change things for a program.

Ahhh...it's just Mel's bio. Thanks Flashy. Anyone have any credible sources that say Mel is coming to Tech or that Blais was made that $300,000 offer? If such an offer was indeed made to Blais, it sounds like enough to be able to say they made him a good offer, but not enough to entice him to leave Omaha, where his base salary was $250K is likely more than that with the extension he signed last year.
