So a few of us SLU fans are looking to grab a beer before the SLU/Brown hockey game. Just noticed the college hockey travel guide website is down. Anyone know of a bar or bars next door or near Meehan?

There is a bar that has pitchers and what not on the corner of Angell St and Thayer, called Spats. Good place, not too expensive. Can catch sportscenter or whatever on the TVs in there. It is less than a 2 minute car drive from the arena. Just drive a few hundred feet down on Angell St toward Hope. Take a left on Hope and Meehan is on your right.

Just tour Thayer Street. There's about 40 bars in three blocks. Try them all. Thayer is two blocks from the rink - you should walk.
