I wonder if the voters would have found some crazy way to not make Utica #1 if they had won the National Championship
I would make sense to put a poll out now if their advertising dollars are related to hits on the site, and controversy could equal hits? Just my conspiracy theory
The National Champion is #1, and runner up is #2. Now that's crazy

Why not? Football puts out a poll after the season is over. And, I suspect other sports do, too.
It's interesting to see where the voters put the teams behind the obvious number one selection. And yes, to answer another poster, it's more publicity for USCHO. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, another opportunity to keep Utica behind Oswego is always a glorious idea...
Why not? Football puts out a poll after the season is over. And, I suspect other sports do, too.

Do the Blugolds get credit for the two games they skipped when they received the first round bye in the NCHA Playoffs? According to the articles of Fishman logic UWEC would have 26 wins

Hey, if you told me in November that Utica would win over 20 games, end up in the final USCHO poll 5th and made a trip to the fro*en four at Lake Placid, I would have traded Fishman'81 to Oswego, or RIT, or even for a bag of pucks, right then and there.
