Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Re: Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Agreed. They hate their coach that's fine. I like Umile and what he's done for the program. Plus I find it insulting they think they can start a thread with UHN in the title, and that I'm gonna wanna hang with them.

How's it going Richard? My Philadelphia buddy and Penn graduate is quite thrilled today with his Quakers going 3-0 with a win over Yale today in the rain.

Re: Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Nice win by UNH at Hofstra this afternoon -- a nailbiter against a squad with 5 wins. And a wind-assisted UNH record length field goal (54 yarder) was part of the 8 point winning margin...

Re: Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Hey Dean, Richard... I'm going to try and keep my eyes open for this one, only slept about 4 hours, MAYBE.

I apologize in advance for any and all typos.

Arrgh -- you're a gamer, erin!!!!

But we knew that already...

Hey, Dean Any of mine are due to beer...

No worries. Why the lack of sleep? Problems in Tijuana :D?

Re: Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Ha, thanks. Was up at 6:45am. Have to make an appearance at TBA's Aunt's b-day dinner after the game, too.
Yikes.

If it helps your morale, beer du nuit is from San Diego -- Stone Imperial Russian Stout, by the Stone Brewing Company in Escondido.

I know Stone well. I'd grab a beer, but that's a horrible idea right now.

Re: Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Well, there are problems in TJ, but none that involve me :p

Was up early to do the San Diego Memory Walk for Alzheimer's.

Oh ya, forgot about that. How did that go?

Yikes.

Escondido? The Wild Animal Park is in Escondido. Are you sure they aren't just bottling giraffe pee and giving it a fancy beer name?

You'd have been jealous -- that game was on my local TV ;)

And since my dad (same name, I'm Jr.) who was UNH undergrad ('48) did his grad degree at Yale ('50) and I did my own grad degree at Harvard ('78), anyone who thumps Yale is just OK by me! :D

Re: Maine @ UNH -- The former sux

Just in the nick of time here!!! White out Washington going on at my house for the game... Celebrating the tailgating spirit (they had a tailgate set up for the game today) with Miller High Life in cans

"Limited Spring 2009 Release". Likely too dark to be pee -- but it's a viable theory.

Either way, it's awesome stuff. Typing should deteriorate noticably shortly...

Richard, Rain game? If so good quality win by the cats due to their apparent fear of rain in the past years :D

My buddy Kirk is hilarious. He is a lawyer, worked on Abscam and several other big time cases in the Philly area. He and his wife (who is from Victoria) moved here to semi-retire. Last year when the Phils won the WS he ordered Tasty Kakes for me and a few others at the courthouse. He's gonna do the same this year if they win again. He wants to go with me next year when I go to Philly.

Game on.

PS I could have watched the game on the internet, but was out all day while it was on.

Maine 0 UNH 0, Period 1

Maine 0 UNH 0, Period 1

It was good, actually pretty emotional for me, more than I expected.

Game on, of course.

Sorry for not saying hi. Should be good having a room all to ourselves, and not worry about the stench of Maine fans polluting our air space :D.

Cool!

Changing topics: massive thunderstorm passing through outside right now -- if I'm gone for a while, it's a power outage. ;)

Hit 70 here today, but now comes the trailing cold front...
