Looking for a place to eat in North Dakota?

Re: Looking for a place to eat in North Dakota?

Olive Garden is part of the Darden chain of restaurants that also operates Red Lobster.

Well, if that doesn't denote quality...

Re: Looking for a place to eat in North Dakota?

Oh good, so I know of one place to go when I head out there in November.:)

Then do I have good news for you. Finally, some fine dining has made its way to Grand Forks.

Long-awaited Olive Garden receives warm welcome

Not everyone is happy about this intrusion by corporate powers, but Skeeter's Authentic Dakotan Grub has vowed to fight on...

The salad and the never-ending pasta bowl. That's it. Don't waste your time with anything else.

I think time literally slowed down as I read that article. I could actually hear that old fossil mumbling through it in an Upper Midwestern accent, tinged with occasional wonder.

I hate Grand Forks and UND as much as the next guy, but I do have to say, there are some pretty **** good places to eat there.

You should really try the Bronze Boot if you haven't already, the decor alone is worth the trip. Also, the shark style wings at the Parrot's Cay are phenomenal.

I'm pretty sure he has. I know I've recommended it to everyone that goes up there.

I've had the wings at Parrots Cay, they're pretty good. Heard of the Bronze Boot, but never went there.

The El Rocco is terrible and I can only assume you went there with Dirty so that's a quality control issue in itself.

Actually, I never went to El Roco, and the only place I went where Dirty was, was The Red Pepper, where a bunch of us met up. I travelled up there with ShirtlessGuy and bbdl one year.
