Probably some combination of the top 3. I'd still want to follow college hockey, and given the proximity of Hockey East schools, the easiest would be to follow another HEA team. However, I'd probably become more of a general fan of the sport, and follow more than one team.
And, of course, I'd kvetch about it and pray that the school found some way to reinstate the program.
(As for the Freddy Meyer option, the school doesn't have to drop hockey for me to wish for that to happen.
)

I picked other because I've been through this with Notre Dame. I actually turned my back on college hockey altogether for a few years because I was so bitter. Hated Notre Dame, too.

I have no idea what I'd do. I'm a MN fan. We're legendary. MN Gophers not having a hockey program would be like the GB Packers moving to another city or folding, or the Boston Celtics calling it quits, or the Yankees saying that the team is no longer worth having. I would wander around aimlessly, like Caine in Kung Fu.

I answered "B." But we're moving to Minnesota this summer, and from what I've heard those Minnesota hockey fans are a little too . . . you know. So the "different team outside your conference" would have to be St. Thomas / Div III / or something.

What would we have done in the late 1960s if the 'Tute had dropped the sport when there were virtually no women around?
Life would just not be worth it-would have to find another hobby. I hear chasing women is a nice pasttime.
