So I guess a little bit of an update.
About a month ago I got the formal offer. After discussing with the wife all the pros/cons, we said hell with it and I accepted. Got over a 13K/year raise from my former job with up to 20K if I hit all my bonuses (based on performance and safety). I am enjoying the job. I am managing 14 unloaders and 1 supervisor. Everyone at Shaws couldn't be nicer to me and my guys, so as of right now, I'm thinking I made the right decision.
