Jennifer Botterhill announces her retirement

Re: Jennifer Botterhill announces her retirement

Certainly, one of the best players to play college hockey or the game and a class act.
Agreed, congratulations on a great career.

And as Pat Sajak would say, "Sorry, there is no 'h'."

Good point. That's what I get for not just solving the puzzle.

H or no H. A great career. Timing of announcement a bit of a surprise, just a month prior to worlds. Wondering out loud if her record of winning the Kaz twice will ever be broken ?. Certainly not the next two years.

Agreed, Great career on both sides of the 49th.

I can only imagine what kind of pressure this announcement will bring to bear on the remaining 70's born players in St Pierre, Collins, Ouelette and Hefford to do the same.

Congrats to Jen.

Of course you left off Hayley.

Jen made the decision that's right for her. I'm sure she'd want the other elders to retire only when they're ready.

Your right. I did. Didn't mean to. Fixed it.

Jennifer had an outstanding career with Team Canada. It has been great meeting her and watching her play for the CWHL team in Toronto.

I can see Hefford, like Potter, having a Goyette type career. Long and making a difference on the ice right until their very last game. As the players get younger, they seem to find another gear.
