Jamie Huntley-Park and her husband were killed in a wrong-way collision in San Ysidro, CA on Friday night. A car coming the wrong way down I-5 hit them head on.
Huntley-Park and her husband Ryan were both San Diego PD detectives. They married in 2016 and promoted to detective on the same day in 2018.
After graduating from Elmira College in 2009, Jamie Huntley-Park remained in hockey as an official. She would referee games for USA Hockey, the IIHF and the NWHL. Huntley-Park was part of the all-female officiating crew at the Lake Placid NWHL bubble in 2020.
