Re: Is there anybody out there

I'm a University of Illinois fan without a home on the main board so I'll occasionally pop in here. But yeah, typically a pretty dead forum.

Illini seem to have a decent team. They have a history of going after Illinois AAA talent which is pretty good, but tough competition against teams like Lindenwood, Minot, or Arizona that have a strong history of going after Junior players. Illinois has one or two on the incoming freshman, so hopefully that will help. They played a weak schedule to start. A lot of ACHA D2 teams. Not good prep, so I think they may suffer a little now that they are switching to D1 teams. I'm kind of surprised they are ranked as high as they are to start.

Seems like the usual powers at the top in the beginning of the season. You think that will hold? Anyone new going to make a push or same old same old?

If you're interested in ACHA news a pretty decent site I've found is Achatalk. I don't think they have a whole lot of original stuff, but the site does a good job of aggregating team articles or stuff on the ACHA in general.
