How many schools hang league opponent name banners?

Denver used to have opponent name banners from all the other WCHA schools hanging in the arena, but no longer does.

Does your school still have them? Never had them? Got rid of them?

Just curious...

Michigan has the current CCHA member team logos painted on the press box facade, west side of the building. I know they used to have banners for each member school, but I think they were removed when the new luxury boxes were put in.

Bemidji State has banners from the WCHA women's and CHA men's in the John Glas. I haven't heard about plans for the BREC yet.

NMU has logos on the wall at the BEC, and had either the same logos (painted on wooden boards) or very similar ones at Lakeview.

I think all the Hockey East schools do that. It's probably a league requirement.

UND's got em. DU has the names of all the schools in the low level by the locker rooms...

Minnesota has all the school names painted above the concourses. Each school is on an individual thing that runs over the concourse (I can't think of what they are called - they are made out of concrete but I don't think they are support structures).

I don't recall seeing them at BC unless you can't see them from my seat.

FYI, BC is having all of their banners redone as part of a summer improvement to Conte Forum. The new widescreen hidef jumbotrons are pretty sick too.

True, DU has names and logos of all WCHA schools near its locker room, but those aren't on public view...

yep, they even have the old school ND logo. I tap it every time I play hockey there. :D

I think all the ECAC teams do, Quinnipiac definitely has the banners up in front of the press box.

Re: How many schools hang league opponent name banners?

Not technically in banner form, but WMU has all the CCHA schools displayed in Lawson.

Re: How many schools hang league opponent name banners?

Michigan Tech has signs printed with the name of each league opponent posted on the wall underneath the JMSIA pressbox.

Re: How many schools hang league opponent name banners?

RIT has all the Atlantic Hockey teams' banners with the school names and colors prominently displayed. I play the 'name their mascot' game with my kids - it kills time between periods.

They have the women's league banners displayed as well.

UND misspelled Anchorage on the original Seawolf banner at REA and Seapup fans whined about it like anyone actually cares about them.
