Hobey 10 for 2022

I may be a UND guy, but I'll say the following got snubbed:

Ethan Frank, WMU, national leader in goals
Ronnie Attard, WMU, but hey, the USOC/USA Hockey snubbed him for Beijing too ...

I can't call these snubs:
Jake Sanderson, UND, missed too many games
Riese Gaber, UND, doesn't have enough resume this year

3 goalies seems like at least 1 too many. And I like Trivigno, but neither his nor his team's numbers good enough to merit this. It seems like an Eastern balance thing. Hard to ignore Frank, but Cuglietta got left out a few years ago when he led the country in goals.

Trivigno has gotten quite the treatment last couple years. He shouldn't have won the Walter Brown last year and shouldn't have won HE POTY this year but here he is again!

All 3 of the goalies are worthy of winning it all and I wouldn't want to be playing against any of them in the tournament. That being said it is possible they become the 3 Hobey finalists, and a goalie wins it this year.

Then why have the Richter Award.

Trivigno winning HE POTY was ridiculous. Levi was the best player in the conference and he was the best goalie in the nation this year. His .954% is No. 2 all-time in the modern era behind Jimmy Howard's 2003-04 where he only played 25 games vs. Levi's 30 and counting. Perets made 17 saves a game, not exactly under duress.
