OK, so after the computer meltdown and reinstall, I'm trying to set up Windows fax console. Trouble is, I can't connect to fax anything. Don't hear the screechy modem sounds.
Device manager sees the modem, and says it's working properly. When I troubleshoot it, and query the modem, it works. So the modem is there, and seemingly working, but can't seem to connect. Phone line has dial tone, etc.
Have uninstalled the modem a couple of times, and let Windows recognize and install drivers for it, but still nothing.
