The Duluth, MN School board will be voting on plans to renovate Congdon Park Elementary School. The current plan involves putting a parking lot in place of where the Congdon Park outdoor Ice Rinks currently are with no plan for relocation. 
These outdoor rinks in Duluth have been the breeding ground for countless numbers of college hockey players around the country including the current Hobey nominee Jack Connolly of UMD and his brother Chris of BU. These rinks are a tremendous asset to the community as they provide a resource for outdoor activity and recreation and promote physical fitness during the long Duluth winters.
