PUCKMAN RULES!!!
Big win last night. That was the first time all year that this team played with passion. They dictated the pace and style of play for 60 minutes.
Now lets do it again.

Lets go Red!!!!!!!!!!!

Not much to play for tonight. RPI will finish 6th and Harvard will finish third.

RPI’s incentives would be to finish with a .500 mark in ECAC play and to earn back-to-back wins for the first time since December and the first weekend sweep since the Union series.
Harvard’s incentives would be to avoid a weekend sweep going into their bye week and to pick up their first league road win since the end of January.

Let’s do it for the seniors and the grad students. Let’s go RED!

We did play pretty well. We dominated in shots taken, shots on goal, even face offs. But somehow still found ourselves down by 2 goals at one time and down even fairly late in the game. How does that happen? We showed tremendous stamina all night and just kept up the pressure. Some of the boys played their best games of the season. If this is the way we will match up against Dartmouth, please let them be our first opponent in the playoffs.
Tonight we face a very different Harvard team than we saw earlier int he season and beat. They have a much more potent line up with their Olympians back and this one will not be easy. Since we are already locked into 6th place in the ECAC, we do not need this game to be a win. Just play well, work on some things, and most of all, avoid any sort of injury even something minor. There is going to be a little jockeying for positions among the teams currently ranked 7-12 and we could end up with several as possible opponents in the playoffs. At this moment, I think the preference for us should be Dartmouth.

Wow -very similar thoughts posted almost at the same moment! Perhaps you too are feeling like a prime rib dinner tonight?

Great minds think alike… and I feel like a prime rib dinner every night! Must be our Section 6 mentality.

Jen and i brought so much food and especially desserts to Section 6 that it was like a catering house. Row K seats 9-12 was like a buffet with a liquor license. We truly miss that HFH atmosphere and hope (but doubt) that it will return to that level. Dinner and drinks at Verdile's followed by take out dessert from Bella Napoli then after the game at various spots - almost nothing could compare with that!

And I was (and still am) in Row O. Too bad I didn’t know you and Jen back then. Would have looked forward to the desserts! And I will be returning there next year if they allow fans back in. FYI, Verdile’s is still open for business.

So you must have been up near the top with the guys who were constantly yelling "shoot it" during every power play and did the count down to "half time"???

Shoot it? No. Half time? Yes. And just before the one minute mark of each period we would yell “Hey Don (later, Al) What time is it?”.

Jenny and I used to listen to all the chants coming from the rows behind us. We were surrounded by the usual subjects for years as those who had seats in section 6 just renewed every year. Just a blast sitting among all the diehards. Was especially nice when we were able to smuggle in a couple of flasks!!

Edit - Jenny just reminded me that "shoot it" was an older gentleman but he was closer to Section 7.

They had their Olympians when they played us in January
