Two years into the Bazin era and great things are happening with this NESCAC team. Coaching staff won honors last season and the team was third in NESCAC scoring.

The recruiting class looks fast, strong and big with a lot of Junior experience:

Nick Anderson, F, 4 yrs Jr, Cowichan Valley Capitals, 6’1” 190, 3rd in points. A 1989 birth year.
Mike DiMare, F, Speedster from the New Jersey Hitmen, 2nd in scoring, 5’9” 171lbs. A 1989 birth year.
Thomas Williams, F, Notre Dame Hounds, (Bazin's alma mater). Played 3 yrs junior with hounds. 38pts in 55 games. 5’10” 180lbs. a 1989 birth year.
Evan Haney F, 6’2” 200lbs, Hamilton Red wings, Voted Hardest worker, 38 pts. A 1990 birth year.
Bennett Schneider, D, 6'3" 205lbs, NH Monarchs. Played 2 yrs NAHL as Asst Capt prior to EJHL. A 1989 birth year.
Andrew Morrison, D, Upper Canada College, Team Captain. 5'11" 190lb, 1991 birth year.

I was informed on this one yesterday, and have only just confirmed it. I've got 5'11", 180lb, but that's not much of a difference. Finding his stats has proved difficult... I've found a statline for a mid-season tournament, but that's it.

Also, it should be noted that this guy was selected in the QMJHL Entry Draft in 2008, by his hometown Halifax mooseheads, but clearly has opted to go the college route instead of Major-Junior.

Halifax Mooseheads, for some reason that rings a bell ;)

I thought so too. Somehow the name Pouliot comes to mind?

But this kid was just drafted, never played. let's be honest: half of the Canadian players in DI were probably at some point drafted by a Major-Junior team.

It'll be a shame this season when Utica and Hamilton dont go head to head in a cross town rivalry :(
