Rumor has it that this Pele guy played soccer, he must have been good at it because it got him the #12 seed. He is going against old school pitcher, #21 Cy Young, the guy the award was named after.

I'm surprised this is close. The greatest soccer player of all-time against a fat pitcher from the 19th century...

You have to check out some of his YouTube "greatest hits" video, or some of "Brazil's Greatest Goals" video, which also will feature him quite a bit. We gasped out loud a few times....:)

Cy Young also threw about 1400 more innings than anyone else in MLB history. He's over 7300 IP and I don't think anyone else has 6000, whether they pitched in his era or not.

Cy Young certainly has some great stats, but the contest is "Greatest Athlete"...Fortunately, it looks like Pele will advance.
