This is a matchup between the 15 seeded Wilt Chamberlain, who was a pretty good basketball player and #18 Willie Mays, who wasn't a bad baseball player.

Wilt Chamberlain was also pretty good in track and field in college, and after his pro basketball career ended, he was a dominating volleyball player too.

Was it Wilt Chamberlain that also played an NFL game to block long field goals by standing by the goalposts to knock down, or am I thinking of someone else?

Either way, Mays was a basketball and football star prior to being a professional baseball star. This matchup is certainly deserving of its 15 v 18 ranking because the two men were both extremely talented and athletic.

Remember, we're down to who we're saying are the greatest 32 athletes out of billions of people. All of these people are extremely talented, and are great athletes. There are a bunch of tough decisions between very evenly matched athletes to come.
