I went through 30 pages of threads to see if there was a thread on the Royal Family - didn't see one. So I'm starting a new one.

King Charles the III has cancer. He was in the hospital for a benign issue with his prostate and they found cancer somewhere else. Prince William has been dealing with his wife who was in the hospital for abdominal surgery, now he has to do with this. I also heard that Price Harry is heading home to see his father. I hope he's OK!
 
Prayers up for him and Kate. An abdominal surgery that keeps you in hospital for two weeks can’t be great.

King Willy ain’t gonna have to wait that long.

abolish the monarchy. But I will say one kind thing about chuck- the man has a huge interest in sustainable farming and has done a lot of work on it. He was doing this decades ago before others began to realize the importance.

honestly I think she has some unpleasant condition and is probably on steroids post surgery. She’s not up for everyone seeing her puffy faced. She’s too vain, and the unhinged Meghan markle Stans would be even worse

What a dumb family. I’m hoping she’s divorcing her husband and getting out

No one saw her in feb, so conspiracies started. Then Kensington palace released the infamous photo. Then the palace started denying that she’d been confirmed to attend events in June (which is why I wonder if she’s negotiating her exit).

Spanish tabloids reported she was in a coma. A few reputable Brit reporters say a convoy from sandringham rushed to hospital late December. And with how open Charles has been about his cancer, Kate is a stark contrast.

My wife thinks she is dead and for whatever reason royal family is covering it up. Apparently there is some weird stuff with her family not visiting her or something like that.
 
I saw a pretty humorous analogy from and Irish person on Bluesky. I’ll paraphrase the best I can.

“Living next to the UK monarchy is like being neighbors with people that are obsessed with clowns. There’s a lot of events in their yard that include clowns, there’s always clown equipment coming and going, and generally they can’t stop talking about clowns. Also, a clown killed one of your grandparents.”
