From listening to this on the radio it sounded like the refs called this game HUGELY in favor of ND. Called everything they could on Michigan and let ND get away with blatant goals (like tripping by the goalie). Glad ND lost!

Wow, according to Barry Melrose we just witnessed a "big, big upset". Michigan wasn't the CCHA regular season champs or anything. They didn't just narrowly miss a one seed, either. Nope, this Michigan team was just outmatched in every way possible. The world is stunned that a talanted team like North Dakota, with all of their NHL draft picks, lost to... Michigan... who has absolutely no potential NHL talent... Michigan... who the eff is that?

That is exactly what I thought. Hak seems to figure out a way to have his team not ready every year. They are incredible in the reg. season though. The Sioux didn't look like the Sioux at all. They didn't play tough and didn't hit the Wolverines. Huge mistake.
With the quality of players that have stayed extra years at UND over the last 10 years it is a crime that they have nothing to show for it.
Red Berenson outcoached Hak tonight. Pure and simple. His team executed to perfection. I hope this was their championship and they have a letdown.

If only they had thought of that. I bet Hakstol told them they could win the game by tricking Michigan into thinking THEY had won the game and then sneaking back on the ice after everyone left and scoring 3 goals.
