Frozen Four - aka WCHA Re-Do Tourney

siouxinminny

Fair and Balanced.
Denver is the odds-on favorite in their bracket
Wisconsin is the odds-on favorite in their bracket
UND appears to be on a course to meet BC in their bracket
UMD or BSU could squeak by Miami in Miami's bracket

I'm just saying, 2 WCHA teams appear likely, 3 appear quite possible and a 4th team is improbable but possible.

I doubt anyone is predicting Miami, Alaska, Northern Michigan and Ferris State in the FF.

Oh and FWIW --- perhaps the WCHA should split in to 2 or 3 conferences so we can get 2-3 autobids with a possibility for 4-6 teams in the tournament! I'm just saying this since UAH and BSU are well, you know ...

This thread is epic. Can we please stop talking about BC? This thread is about the greatness of the WCHA.

The WCHA should probably create their own Division in NCAA hockey to make it more fair for the rest of us. It would give us a chance....so get on that ;)

Yeah it would have been really helpful if we hadn't had to compete with all of their teams in the Frozen Four last year... oh... wait...

How about the "World Champions Hockey Association"? Maybe the winner of the WCHA tourney can represent the US in the Olympics. Oh wait, most of their kids are Canadians, nevermind...:)

Re: Frozen Four - aka WCHA Re-Do Tourney

Next year should be the year you start this because without the CHA there are only 4 other leagues to get autobids for the 13th to 16th spots in this tourney. Perhaps Michigan Tech will allow an occasional undefeated team to move up to #12 every once in a while, with their permission of course.

Don't be deceived - the two Hockey East vs. CCHA national title games you saw in the last two years didn't actually happen. Carry on.

Silly you Joe.

The WCHA confused the Final Five with the Frozen Four, that's why they didn't show up.

That's not it at all. We're a very generous conference and we like to throw the rest of the NCAA a bone every now and again. :D

GODDAMMIT!!! WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SIM? WHY WHY WHY?

Terriers like bones so it worked last year. Must have been meat on the bone the previous year for Eagles to swoop down and take it. Do you have any kitty food for the Wildcats from New Hampshire?
