for Frozen Four historians...

If Providence wins the Frozen Four this year, it is possible that they would have beaten four teams from one conference to do so: Miami, Denver, Omaha and North Dakota.
Has that ever happened before (not just winning four games to claim the title, but winning four games against teams from the same conference to do so)?

They would be the first team to beat 4 teams from the same conference. Wisconsin won the title in 1983 beating St. Lawrence twice, Providence, and Harvard, going 4-0 against the ECAC in the NCAA Tournament.

Also, in 1992, LSSU beat 4 teams that either were currently in, had formerly been in, or would eventually be in the WCHA when they knocked off Alaska Anchorage, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Wisconsin en route to the National Championship. Michigan State would accomplish the same feat in 2007 when they beat Boston University, Notre Dame, Maine, and Boston College to win the title.

I knew the basic answer to the OPs question was no, but your additional info is quite interesting.
