Ferris State Bulldog Hockey Records History Tonight

This was in a post on MLive from another Ferris State fan.

Ferris State Bulldog Hockey Records History Tonight

The Bulldog Hockey squad overcame the Bowling Green State Falcons 3-2 marking the first time in team history where the Bulldogs went Back-to-Back-to-Back Home Sweeps, 6-0 at home in three weekends.

Sweeping the University of Connecticut Huskies
Sweeping the Robert Morris University Colonials
Sweeping the Bowling Green State Falcons

Most fans will say, “Look who they are playing, those do not count.” When most knowledgeable hockey fans will realize, “Hey, it’s Division 1 College Hockey, anybody can beat anybody in Hockey. The worst place team beats the best teams every week. Check out Bemidji State last year. Or Airforce over UofM. Don’t give me the look who they are playing line.”

Anybody can beat anybody in college hockey. A sweep in any league, or any team is very hard to do. And to do it three times at home in a row is amazing.

The Bulldogs are 7-3 now on the year, 6-0 at home. Off to the best start in the Universities history.

And, no, the rest of you do not have a green light to go off here.

Can't I Godwin the thread by saying that Hitler also started out 6-0 against other countries in Europe?

Oh, and by the way, I don't agree with the mlive poster's logic. We've got 7 wins against bad teams.

Bowling Green is 0-7-1
Connecticut is 1-6
Robert Morris is 2-5
Canisius (who we split with) is 3-6

Canisius and Connecticut compete in Atlantic Hockey, and thus, have scholarship limitations as a requirement of being in that league.

The above teams are a combined 6-24-1. We are supposed to beat those teams. I'd be really worried if we didn't. At this time I'm taking the rest of what I have to say to the Ferris thread.

Hamms, Your predictions this weekend?

In a word: trouble. Miami is a big step up from the BG's and UConn's of the hockey world. They just boat-raced Michigan at Yost this past weekend, holding Michigan to 2 goals on the weekend. This is a different animal that we're dealing with. Games like this are exactly why we had to clean up on the bottom feeders. If we can't beat them, we're toast against teams like Miami and the like.

The next month is likely to tell the story for this season. Anything less than .500 over the next four weeks and we're in real trouble.
