Ferris State @ Alaska, 10/30-10/31: Bueller? Bueller?

Ferris State makes the long haul to Fairbanks for the CCHA opener for both the #15 'Nooks and the Bulldogs.

Alaska had the weekend off, while Ferris took it to Robert Morris both nights, a team that the Nanooks beat last week in the Goal Rush.

Nanooks come in unbeaten at 3-0-1, and the Bulldogs are off to a strong 5-1-0 start.

Ferris State has had some big struggles recently with Alaska, both in Big Rapids and in Fairbanks. The 'Nooks swept the Bulldogs last year 4-0.

As an Alaska fan, I see Friday as a possible trap game. Unbeaten, won both preseason tournaments, playing a team that hasn't won against us in a long time with a big home series against Notre Dame the following weekend. If we're as good as the ranking suggests we should sweep this one, but my gut says the Bulldogs come out swinging on Friday in the Carlson Center.
