Albany is more accessible, and has better bargain hotels. However, LP is a heck of a lot better than Atlantic City.Good news. Lake Placid is a great location. There's the bobsled run, the ski jump and the ski slopes when you're not watching a hockey game, and the ambience of two past Olympics is a further attraction.
You can pretty much get the answer you want from this thread below, most thought that Albany makes the most sense geographically, but Lake Placid had more in the way of amenities and atmosphere. As an outsider, I'm just looking at the finalists. Seems to me most fans of the ECAC would prefer Lake Placid or Albany over Providence/Atlantic City. Is that fair to say? If so, which do you prefer? LP or Albany?
Ugh, can you have too many hookers from which to choose?
