I'll be headed to Albany for this great event. So far SLU and Cornell have clinched berths to the Semi-finals with two series being decided tonight! Whose planning on going? Is the venue nice? (I've heard good things). Will the attendance be high? Let me know I'm VERY excited!!!!

Anyways, I plan on attending and I am sure SLU will bring a good fan base to Albany as usual. We don't bring as many fans as Cornell, Clarkson or RPI would bring but we hold our own. Hopefully it will be a good weekend of hockey all the way around. Gooooo Saints!!!!!! :)

When following ECAC Hockey, my desires are simple:

GO BIG RED

Good luck to all teams.

Why Uh-Oh?

You poor, misinformed hockey fan, you

The Times Union Center is, well, how to put this diplomatically? In a nutshell, awful. Way too many things to list. The only benefits are its accessibility and location.

Well, that's my very biased opinion, anyway, and it's not just because my team never wins when it plays there ;)

Bring on Atlantic City 2011.

Boy, I can't wait for the tournament to get to Atlantic City, just so all of you haters can finally get your wish, only to be pining for Albany once more.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Re: ECAC Semifinals & Finals: Albany, NY

So the matchups are set for Friday:

Cornell vs. Brown 4pm.

Union vs. SLU 7:30pm.

Re: ECAC Semifinals & Finals: Albany, NY

The subject of which arena is nicer is arbitrary. The semifinals and finals will be played where they'll be played, thus making this topic irrelevant.

Lets focus on the hockey and those who will be attending this year!!

Re: ECAC Semifinals & Finals: Albany, NY

May I congratulate Brown on a HUGE upset and fantastic run to the semifinals. Best of luck to you next weekend!!

Re: ECAC Semifinals & Finals: Albany, NY

Does anybody know how many tickets are allotted to each school and how to buy these tickets?

Not sure exactly how many tickets to each school. I do know that you need to call each schools box office to purchase tickets in their sections.

Congrats to all the teams, especially Brown and Union, when's the last time those teams made it to the league semis?

Let's toast to those teams, and to select SLU fans for not complaining about Albany and the refs - I'm confident we've been down that path a few times already... :D
