ECAC Pick The Standings 2010-11

As the ECAC celebrates 50 years of hockey, I am celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the contest. I hope people can find this thread amidts all the Penn State Hockey Threads ;). And away we go.

Saints17 is the defending champion in the contest. The contest is easy. Pick the ECAC Standings at the end of the 2010-11 season in order from 1-12 (no ties). Playoff seedings determine the position of the teams incase of a regular season tie. You accumulate points based on the difference squared of the position you pick for each team vs the teams actual finish. If you pick RPI first and they finish first you accumulate 0 points. If they finish 2nd, you accumulate 1 point, 3rd 4 points, 4th 9 points etc. LOWEST SCORE IS THE WINNER . You have until the puck drops on the first League Games on Friday Nov 5th to get your picks in.

Tie breakers are:

Pick correctly the ECACHL Regular Season Champ.
Have the most teams in the correct order of finish.
Have the most top 6 teams in the correct order of finish.
I will flip a coin .

You can change your picks at any time up till the drop of the puck of the first league game, however DO NOT EDIT THE ORIGINAL PICKS . Just put up a new post with your change.

Vic-They let me down big time last year. I usually go by the old adage to Never bet against Clarkson in the regular season. But Always bet against them in the Tournament. This year after careful deliberation I figured they are still in trouble. And after all these years I feel so sorry for them:rolleyes:

Outside of Yale, are there any NCAA Tournament contenders in the league given the personnel losses by Rensselaer and Cornell? What about Colgate, Union?

In my slightly biased opinion..... Dont count RPI or Cornell completley out.....The style (though i hate it) that Cornell plays at least keeps them in every game..... RPI should have a very strong group of guys on defense and if one or two of the guys that seemed to be a slump last year can pickup their play mixed with tremendous speed should be a very solid hockey team ( Freshman class this year doesent seem to be too bad either)

Colgate should be solid but Union also lost a few very solid players leaving them as another team that makes you scratch your head about what to do with them.
