If Rick Bennett gets a single vote for Coach of the Year, it'll be an embarrassment to the league. Anyone who gets suspended during the season for on-ice actions like his should never win any coaching award in that season.

My memories are dimming but I think the season Schafer had to write "I will not draw attention to the league office's incompetence" on the blackboard 100 times was one of his three COTY seasons.
