I figured that I'd start this thread since half of the ECAC teams begin their regular season this weekend (with 2 of those teams playing Thursday night). Note the word "preseason" in the title -- the "regular" season won't begin until the last weekend in October when Harvard plays Dartmouth.
The rules:
Pick the team that you think will win for each game. It is best if you copy and paste the list of games, then either boldface the winner or write the winner next to each game. You get 1 point for each correctly picked win and 2 points for each correctly picked tie. Please also predict the total ECAC goals scored by all teams for the given set of games. This will serve as a tiebreaker. (Note: only goals scored by ECAC teams will count. Keep this in mind when you predict the number of goals scored.)
Make sure you get your picks in by Thursday night before the start of the Quinnipiac and RPI games.
The games:
Thursday, October 8:
Quinnipiac at Ohio State
RPI at UMass
Friday, October 9:
St. Lawrence vs. UMass-Lowell
Quinnipiac at Ohio State
Clarkson at Michigan State
Maine at Union
Colgate at Niagara
Saturday, October 10:
New Hampshire at RPI
Clarkson at Michigan State
Maine at Union
Colgate at RIT
Total ECAC goals:
(Note: I am aware that SLU is playing on Saturday, but their opponent is dependent on the outcome of their game on Friday, so it will not be included on this list. Good luck.)
