It makes sense for RPI, UC, CCT, and SLU to arrange things with other colleges in pairs as most schools would rather play two different teams in a weekend rather than one twice. As opposed to some travel partners (QU and PU come to mind ;)), RPI/UC and CCT/SLU are truly close together.

Also, since when do non-conference games get "travel partnered"? Clarkson & SLU have done so forever (meaning back when I was there) :D I'm sure RPI and Union have done so for a while too, though not as long
