If we are going to win tonight, we have to score the first goal.
We just seem to lose focus once we get behind.
Good luck tonight.

LGR

This year it seems we lose focus when we walk into the HFH. We are simply a better team on the road. i would like to see our boys come out for each period really ready to play. Sometimes it seems like they left their legs in the locker room.

I was of course at last night’s game. They came out ready to play in both the first and third periods. Harvard didn’t even get their first shot on goal until about the 5-minute mark. But one of the few mistakes they made in the first period resulted in a Harvard goal. The SHG that they gave up later on in the period was one that Giesbrecht should have never given up. He definitely didn’t have his “A game” last night as the third goal allowed was a little weak and goal #4 was a backbreaker scoring with a half of a second left in the period. I don’t know if Harvard let up on the gas in the third with a 4-0 lead, but RPI refused to give up, scoring twice and was able to pull Giesbrecht. But too many passes and one critical turnover led to the ENG.
EHF is correct saying we need to score first. Dartmouth is always tough team to beat, especially at HFH. Let’s hope they come out with some intensity and finally get a win at home. LGR!

Girls played a 0-0 tie through 3 periods and an overtime. then lost the extra point in the shootout 1-0. From what I could see, Dartmouth is an improving team that gave us as much as we gave them. Pretty even game that either team could have won in regulation and certainly there were chances in OT to win for each team. I despise the 3 on 3 OT and hate games decided by a shootout under any circumstance. Why are they turning ice hockey into soccer? In any case, heading home and will most likely miss the boys tonight. Wishing them luck and a much better performance than last night.
