Cornell @ RPI, Friday, 11/8/2013

Re: Cornell @ RPI, Friday, 11/8/2013

Who can teach these guys how to close out a game. First Harvard, now Cornell.
I wouldn't want to be Haggs, tonight. It wouldn't surprise me if he sits tomorrow.

Got to give Cornell credit-they knew what needed to be done to keep this game going-lots of whistles, slow time down and they got a couple chances. All 3 of their goals from fairly far out and Diebold just missed them.

Agreed Doc. All 3 cornell goals from way out....gotta make a stop on 1 of 'em

And it ends as a tie 3-3. Similar to the Harvard game-we just could not close it out. Hopefully they learn from this. Haggerty has to keep his composure as taking that late penalty was just not a smart play.
Just a STUPID!!!!!! penalty to take

Doc, I thought that the first goal was soft. Scott was late getting to the post.
The two at the end of the game were screened. Lots of people in front. What struck me was that no one even attempted to block those shots from that far out. The shooter had way too much time and no one in front of them to block or deflect the shots.

Agreed-not sure Scotty saw any of them clearly but from that far out-you just gotta stop some of them.
