5-man shootout to determine who plays in which game tomorrow.

Patrick McCarron saved.
Profetto scores. 1-0 LSSU.
Joakim Ryan hits post.
Globke saved.
Hilbrich scores. 1-1.
Schmitt saved.
John McCarron wide.
Ciotti scores. 2-1 LSSU.

For some reason 5th players don't get to shoot, so LSSU goes to Championship game. Cornell to consolation at 4 P.M. v. Miami.

Typically ECAC refs don't understand a one goal lead with one round to go is not a win!:confused::eek:

Re: Cornell Big Red v. Lake Superior State Lakers @ Florida College Hockey Classic

It was a 3-man shootout. Nonetheless, it should never have even gotten to a shootout. Two posts, a crossbar, and long stretches of dominant play ought to have given us the win. Unfortunately, there were also long stretches of zombie play with each team pursuing the strategy of waiting for the other to die of boredom.
