View these as a bit of a prediction of the NCAA rankings - they use some of the components - Despite the loss, Oswego holds on to the top spot.
Just from my numbers, a good run by Williams or Amherst in the NESCACs, and an STS loss in the semis would make an 8-3 split a possibility.
Because of SOS, the split between ELM and MAN helps both. If one had swept, the winner's rating would have climbed considerably. Prior to beating ELM, MAN had a very poor SOS and defeated team's winning percent.
Feel free to comment - I want these rankings to have as much credibility as possible. One other note - remember, a difference of less than 10 points is not statistically significant. Statistics students know what that means. Those that aren't statistics students can think of as a photo finish with a blurry lens.
