Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

Take good notes guys. I may get back before the end of the game, but I will certainly miss at least two periods. I'll be in NYC.

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

Last night we played a very good game a lost. Sometimes that happens.
If we play the same way tonight, the outcome will be different.
I will be at HFH to cheer on the Engineers in person.
Don't forget, this is a 4PM start.

LETS GO RED!!!!!!!

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

We deserved a better fate yesterday-we outplayed and outshot and outchanced the opposition. We did not take too many stupid penalties (only took 3 for the game). But we just could not get it done-BTW see Army game for a similar experience. This is just part of the game. We are a good team but have a ways to go to become a better team. I juast hope we don't suffer a bit of a letdown because we did give such a good effort last night and did not get a victory. Did anyone else feel as I did that D'Amigo was a bit tentative and a step slower last night?

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

Both teams coming off disappointing losses -- that means at least 1 of these teams will deem this weekend unsuccessful.

I'll be making the drive to Troy for this afternoon's game. Should be a good one.

He certainly was not as visible as he has been in the past. If he came out of last night's game ok, I am sure that he will be back to his old self today.

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

I agree. JD'A was a bit tentative but should be improved today.

RB-I am not so sure. All the physical activity yesterday may make him feel whatever his injury is a bit more today. I hope he is back 100% but my medical sense is that he will still be less than that for a time yet. I give him tremendous credit though-he is fearless out there.

I'll bow to your knowledge.

as long as he keeps making perfect passes to Pirri down low(which he hopefully finishes the next time around) i'm glad to have him in. We have plenty of guys who can skate great, but D'Magio's awareness and accuracy on his passes are what him so great and those really didn't have any decrease in last nights game.

Here's hoping we contain McIntyre and Smith and that Colgate can't handle a ****ed off Pirri and a Helfrich that is finally beginning to look more like himself.
Also hope York has a good game, since he hasn't in the past 3

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

In the RPI 2009-2010 Part II thread, I note that post # 772 contained this observation:

6. “D’Amigo was off a step but honestly, I didn’t care. Dude’s a pimp.”

I always thought that if you called a guy a pimp, you were calling him the vilest sort of person imaginable. It was a profound insult. Duels used to be fought over less.

Has the lexicon evolved to the point that this is now a term of admiration?

I must have missed that-to my generation that is indeed insulting. Guess I am just out of step with the newest terminology:confused:

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

Take good notes folks. I am going out now and won't be back probably until after the game is over.

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

Women are up 1-0 over Union late in the second period. Naslund with the lone goal so far.

Re: Colgate @ RPI - Saturday, December 5th

RPI lines are completely different:

D'Amigo - Polacek - Halpen
Cullen - Pirri - Helfrich
Angers-Goulet - Malchuk - O'Grady
Vassel - Kerins - Rabbani

Kennedy - Merth
Brutlag - Burgdoerfer
Jensen - Foss

Merriam - Harkenrider - York

I'm not sure about separating D'Amigo and Pirri...

Yes. In generation Y, "pimp" is to refer to as someone awesome, kick-butt, or of the similar like. It could also mean an attractor of the ladies.

With the people's line separated, I dunno how the fans are gonna feel about this one. However, if it hasn't performed, then either they're attracting the best defense, or they're just not playing well. I think it's the former, Coach may think it's the later. Either way, this is going to be a bit interesting.
