We deserved a better fate yesterday-we outplayed and outshot and outchanced the opposition. We did not take too many stupid penalties (only took 3 for the game). But we just could not get it done-BTW see Army game for a similar experience. This is just part of the game. We are a good team but have a ways to go to become a better team. I juast hope we don't suffer a bit of a letdown because we did give such a good effort last night and did not get a victory. Did anyone else feel as I did that D'Amigo was a bit tentative and a step slower last night?
I agree. JD'A was a bit tentative but should be improved today.
I'll bow to your knowledge.RB-I am not so sure. All the physical activity yesterday may make him feel whatever his injury is a bit more today. I hope he is back 100% but my medical sense is that he will still be less than that for a time yet. I give him tremendous credit though-he is fearless out there.
as long as he keeps making perfect passes to Pirri down low(which he hopefully finishes the next time around) i'm glad to have him in. We have plenty of guys who can skate great, but D'Magio's awareness and accuracy on his passes are what him so great and those really didn't have any decrease in last nights game.RB-I am not so sure. In the RPI 2009-2010 Part II thread, I note that post # 772 contained this observation:
6. “D’Amigo was off a step but honestly, I didn’t care. Dude’s a pimp.”
I always thought that if you called a guy a pimp, you were calling him the vilest sort of person imaginable. It was a profound insult. Duels used to be fought over less.
Has the lexicon evolved to the point that this is now a term of admiration?

RPI lines are completely different:
D'Amigo - Polacek - Halpen
Cullen - Pirri - Helfrich
Angers-Goulet - Malchuk - O'Grady
Vassel - Kerins - Rabbani
Kennedy - Merth
Brutlag - Burgdoerfer
Jensen - Foss
Merriam - Harkenrider - York
I'm not sure about separating D'Amigo and Pirri...
