RPI '11 Go Red!
Clarkson beat the Engineers in Potsdam just a few weeks ago, but that was an extremely shorthanded team.

This time, it'll be a full-strength squad playing their final home regular season game.

Let's go RED!

I don't mean to get into a pizzing-match with you ehf but how many of those same types of games are we just to forget about. I wish they would remember them so not to repeat them. Sadly, it never seems to be the case and it's not just this year's version. Every player and Coach should apologize to the fans who came out to support the Team last night. There's no excuse for what I saw last night!

It is very sad. We did play a halfway decent first 20 minutes. After that, once SLU scored the first goal, there was just no hustle on the part of the players and the crowd was about as quiet as I have seen all year. It just looked like we couldn't have scored if they played all night. Top 4 is now out of the question (though not mathematically) and if they're going to continue playing this way, tonight might be our last home game period.

RPI is going to have their work cu out for them tonight after laying an egg in Sochi this morning. Oh, wht's that you say? Not the same team? Could have fooled me.

Talk about frustration. Between USA men and RPI, the totals from yesterday and today are 0 goals for and 10 against. Throw in last nights RPI women's performance and it's 16-0. Ugh. :(

I had the same thought. It's like our NCAA performance after 1985.

You won't get any argument from me. I have witnessed too many of those performances in the last 20 years. There seem to be a number of them every year. For some reason, this year they always come on Friday night.
That being said, this team needs to concentrate on the future. We can't get caught up in our failures, but I sure wish we could figure out why they seem to happen so often.
These guys have a lot of talent, and when they apply themselves, they look great. When they don't, you get what we got last night.
This season isn't over, and it can still be saved. That said, we are running out of time.
Lets go red!!!!!!!!

Turk-Been here for highs and lows for a very long time. Last night was a real stinker-but I have seen worse. Last night was very disappointing-but I have been there for some true devastation. What hurts a bit more than usual is that i really feel this team has a lot of talent. Whatever is wrong(and there most certainly is stuff wrong) can not be blamed on just not being talented enough. That, I think, is what i find most frustrating. We should just not ever be this overmatched in games with what we put out onto the ice. I would not like to be an opponent of this team on a night that they do click and get it all working correctly.

The talent isn't being used to better mold the team. There's no creativity. Just the same motion plays, same set-up guy, and if you're defending, you know what to expect.

The women's team's season came to an end today with a tough 3-2 loss to SLU:(. More detailed thoughts on the women's thread.
