Yale and Harvard were originally scheduled to play games against China's national development team, but these were abruptly cancelled. The ECAC said it was because the "national development team being unable to field a representative team."

League Announces Cancellation of Games Versus China National Development Team

ALBANY, N.Y. – ECAC Hockey announced that exhibition games featuring Harvard and Yale versus the KRS National Development Team from China have been canceled.
The decision to cancel the games is the result of the national development team being unable to field a representative team. The games will not be re-scheduled.
Games were scheduled versus Yale Friday, December 28 at Ingalls Rink, and Sunday, December 30 at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
In light of the cancellation, Yale has scheduled a contest versus McGill University at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 29.
Information regarding a replacement contest, if any, for Harvard has not yet been determined.
